quite a bit to write...but no time...

Yeah... I wonder how some people manage to work and blog regularly... I really can't imagine myself in that position... Anyway, quite a bit has happened since the last update. Most notably, going to Daicon 2009 and having my weekends robbed away...

So, Daicon first... Went to Kampar on Friday (can't remember which past one, haha) to look see look see and pick up small boy at the same time. Jon and David came along... David was a last minute decision, because of a last minute ffk on the part of David's wonderful buddies... And like most of my road trips, shit happens. I don't know why... it just does. Ran out of petrol around 2 1/2 km past the Tapah rest stop... So yeah, we had to walk back to the petrol station at the rest stop to get a couple of bottles of petrol. Luckily the sun wasn't out of the clouds so fast...came out when we were around 100m to the station... I know numbers wise, 2 1/2 doesn't sound far, but trust me... it was bad... we realised that when we managed to hitch a ride from a tow truck at the station after catching quite a breather... For the first time, I pumped full after I passed the toll at Tapah, haha. Kampar is well... a nice way to put is, a smaller version of Taiping. More laid back and has all that old world charm... Except for the behemoth that is the UTAR campus and the lake beside it. When they say lake front, they mean lake front... UNiM in comparison, has a puddle sized pond with ducks... They have waterfowl living and nesting there... We just produce better employable grads, hehe :P

Anyway, on to Daicon the next day...quite a letdown unfortunately... there were only what...6 doujin stalls? The line for KKnM (or bf gf shop, translated into Jap) was absolutely crazy... not to mention the prices too... (sorry to all the people who'd buy out there, but I ain't spending RM115 for a t-shirt even though it may have some cool anime print on it). The event just doesn't have the feel that Comic Fiesta or GACC generates...it's just too...quiet. The only attraction was well, Chihara Minori attending, and if you aren't a hardcore fan who'd splash RM250, 150 or 50 to see her, it's pretty much a yawn-worthy event... I look forward to GACC... pity my Sunday there will be cut short due to my blasted estate visit scheduled to begin the next day... Yeah, my main assigment for the year is a plantation company and all their Malaysian estates are in Johor... and it so happens that the third week of August is the only time we can do our estate visit... haih... I hope I don't miss too much...

And yeah, now that ACCA classes have started for me, I just kissed Sat and Sun goodbye... I thought there were 2 classes in a day, but no... 1 class per day... 2 papers means, Sat and Sun both gone... And due to miscommunication from HR, I missed the first 2 classes and entered late for the 3rd one. And, now I'm told I have to re-register myself into Sunway because my company didn't do it... I don't know what to say any longer... I've ran out of curses... and I'll have to inquire with ACCA about my registration status too because they might have f**ked that one up too since I have yet to receive any communication from ACCA... yeah, I hope the staff in charge of this in my company hits his head on the side of a tofu and dies... ish...

    G'nite :)
